May 26: Tocom Rubber Settles Dn;May Stay In Y162-Y166 Range

[Dow Jones] Tocom rubber futures settle lower, weighed down by softer crude oil prices, while growing sentiment current rubber supply-demand fundamentals can”t sustain recent gains also encouraging selling, says trader. Adds Tocom may find immediate technical support at Y162/kg, though upside likely to also remain capped at Y166/kg, barring fresh supportive cues. New benchmark November RSS3 contract settles at Y162.3/kg after beginning today at Y164/kg. (ANJ)

May 25: Thai USS3 Rubber Prices Flat;Supply May Increase

[Dow Jones] Physical prices of Thai USS3 rubber unchanged in thin volume, says trader in Phuket. Adds firmer futures, cash markets today offer mild support; supply remains thin due to recent rain-induced tapping delays though recent onset of drier weather in key southern producing regions prompts expectations that supply may begin to increase soon, says trader in Phuket. May 25: Tocom May Rubber Expires At Y156.5/Kg; 148 Lots Tendered

SINGAPORE (Dow Jones)–The May ribbed smoked sheet rubber three, or RSS3, grade contract on the Tokyo Commodity Exchange expired Monday at Y156.5 a kilogram, with a total of 148 lots tendered.

The expiry price is Y2.9 higher than Friday”s settlement price and Y13.3 higher than the April expiry price.

The exchange no longer provides information on delivery takers and delivery makers.

May 22 (Reuters) – Following are prices for Tokyo rubber
futures at the end of the Tokyo market’s evening session on
Friday

* The evening session is considered part of the following
day’s trading by TOCOM, so prices at the end of the day session
at 0630 GMT are the day’s official closing prices.
* The Tokyo Commodity Exchange launched a new trading
platform on May 7 and added a night session between 0800 GMT and
1400 GMT. For rubber, the evening session is 0800-1000 GMT.
